An art exhibit and invitation to read/write for the members of Women at LuigArt
Members of the Women at LuigArt (WAL) are invited to create a work of art or a piece of writing that explores the theme: Quiet/Not as part of a celebration of Women’s history month. The exhibit will open on March 26 with an opening event on March 28 from 4-6pm. The exhibit will run through April 11th. There will be a panel discussion about the exhibit on April 4th from 3-5pm and a closing on April 11th from 4-6pm.
Artwork should not exceed 24” in width. Members may submit one piece of work each. Please send a picture of your work, along with title, medium, dimensions, and price. We also need one or two sentences describing your piece. If the work you wish to submit is not completed, a photo of a similar completed work can be sent. Images should be 4x6. We need to know you intend to show so we can make sure we have enough space. Space is limited and we want to be as inclusive as possible. There is a $20 admission fee which will go to pay for installing the work. The fee may be paid to Marco Logsdon via venmo or a check and are due upon delivery. We need submissions no later than February 23rd. Submissions may be sent to patandmichelle@twc.com
Writers are also encouraged to create pieces for our closing reception on April 11th. Space may also be limited for this depending on interest. Readings should not exceed 5 minutes in length.
