The Art of Shibori Silk Dyeing

The Art of Shibori Silk Dyeing DATES: This is a two day class. April 6th and 13th TIME: Saturdays, 10 - noon Saturdays 10 - noon LOCATION: Room 229, School of Art & Visual Studies Bldg. INSTRUCTOR: Laverne Zabielski FEE: $80 includes both days

The Shibori technique is used to create texture and a variety of colors on fabric by manipulating the fabric before dyeing. In this 2-day workshop, using silk fabric, you will learn the pole wrap and rope wrap dyeing techniques. The fee includes materials for two silk scarves.

Using the FeltLOOM you will create felted fabric for home decor or art to wear. All skill levels are welcome no matter which workshop you choose. Beginning Feltloom.
